The Chalfont St Peter Community Library hosts a number of regular activities including:
Bounce and Rhyme
Lucy and the Bounce and Rhyme toys are looking forward to seeing you Wednesday mornings at 10.30. Followed by a Duplo session at 11am. Drop by for this free session for the under fives at Chalfont St Peter Library. No need to book. Term time only.


Stitching Knitting and Nattering
Every Tuesday in upstairs meeting room from 10 am to 12 noon
MONDAY MOVIES
Films are shown on the last Monday in the month. Attendance is free of charge but a small donation is most welcome. There are usually two films shown on the day and details and bookings are available in the library The next film is on Monday 26th January.
Downton Abbey – The Finale – shows at 11 am and 2 30 pm

Mid-Month CLASSIC FILM
A classic film or family favourite will be shown on the second Monday of the month. Attendance is free of charge but a small donation is most welcome. Details and bookings are available in the library. The next films are on Monday 9th February.
A Shot in the Dark at 11 am
A chambermaid at the Ballon residence in Paris is accused of murdering her lover. Against the wishes of Chief Inspector Dreyfuss, the infamous Clouseau is assigned to the case. Death follows the maid wherever she goes, yet Clouseau is stubbornly convinced of her innocence.

Blame it on Rio at 2 30 pm
A swinger on the cusp of being a senior citizen with a taste for young women falls in love with an accomplished woman closer to his age.
Two friends who work for the same Brazilian company, Matthew (Michael Caine) and Victor (Joseph Bologna) decide to take a vacation together without their wives, since both men are having marital difficulties. Each brings his teenage daughter along, and there is trouble when Matthew begins an affair with Victor’s daughter, Jennifer (Michelle Johnson). As Victor catches wind of the fling, Matthew tries to keep his involvement a secret, leading to plenty of uncomfortable situations.


Councillor Surgeries
Chalfont St Peter Parish Councillors regularly hold surgeries at the library to meet with local residents who have an issue that they can help with.
Celfunde
On the first Saturday morning of each month, from 10am until 1pm, the library hosts a ‘local history surgery’ open to anyone interested in the history and heritage of Chalfont St Peter. The Celfunde Inheritance, the village’s local history and heritage group will welcome you with a cuppa and biscuits, if you’d like to share your knowledge of the village’s history, or to learn more, or if you have anything you’d like us to research on your behalf. We are particularly interested in hearing your memories and scanning old photographs of the village for posterity.
