The Chalfont St Peter Community Library hosts a number of regular activities including:
Bounce and Rhyme
Lucy and the Bounce and Rhyme toys are looking forward to seeing you Wednesday mornings at 10.30. Followed by a Duplo session at 11am. Drop by for this free session for the under fives at Chalfont St Peter Library. No need to book. Term time only.


Stitching Knitting and Nattering
Every Tuesday in upstairs meeting room from 10 am to 12 noon
MONDAY MOVIES
Films are shown on the last Monday in the month. Attendance is free of charge but a small donation is most welcome. There are usually two films shown on the day and details and bookings are available in the library The next film is on Monday 23rd February.
The Ballad of Wallis Island at 2 pm.
Old tensions resurface when former bandmates who were former lovers reunite for a private show at the island home of an eccentric millionaire.


Mid-Month CLASSIC FILM
A classic film or family favourite will be shown on the second Monday of the month. Attendance is free of charge but a small donation is most welcome. Details and bookings are available in the library. The next films are on Monday 9th March.
42nd Street at 11 am
When revered Broadway director Julian Marsh falls on hard times with both his health and his finances, he helms an ambitious musical as a final production before his retirement. His lead actress, Dorothy Brock is torn between two loves–the show’s wealthy backer, Abner Dillon and the earnest but penniless actor Pat Denning –while aspiring young performer Peggy Sawyer waits in the wings, hoping for her big break.
The Intelligence Men at 2 30 pm
Eric and Ernie take on a dangerous international spy ring. This unlikely scenario arises when Eric is mistaken for a member of the criminal organisation Schlecht and MI5 sees an opportunity to send him undercover with agent Ernie Sage.


Councillor Surgeries
Chalfont St Peter Parish Councillors regularly hold surgeries at the library to meet with local residents who have an issue that they can help with.
Celfunde
On the first Saturday morning of each month, from 10am until 1pm, the library hosts a ‘local history surgery’ open to anyone interested in the history and heritage of Chalfont St Peter. The Celfunde Inheritance, the village’s local history and heritage group will welcome you with a cuppa and biscuits, if you’d like to share your knowledge of the village’s history, or to learn more, or if you have anything you’d like us to research on your behalf. We are particularly interested in hearing your memories and scanning old photographs of the village for posterity.
