Donation to the Library
Chalfont St Peter Community Library volunteers have been very happy to accept a donation of childrens books supplied through a member of Chalfont St Peter Tennis Club, Julia Mills. Julia is a member of Foresters, a not-for-profit / mutual organisation with the purpose of helping members and their communities. As a holder of a Forester Plan, she was able to apply for a charity grant of up to 200 pounds and as a member of Chalfont St Peter Tennis Club, she decided to support one of their named charities for 2023, which was the local Community Library. Once she had approached us, we identified that a particular area to restock was the board and picture books for our youngest readers, so a suggested list was passed to Julia, who kindly bought a number of these and arranged a date to hand them over. It is a very good time to have this donation as we have also just completed refurbishing the childrens area with new furniture including colourful book trolleys.
